About Lower Drayton Farm
Get away from it all with a stay on our 600-acre working farm. There’s something to suit everyone from professionals travelling with work to couples enjoying a romantic getaway and families making memories together.
Your hosts
You can look forward to a warm welcome from Val James and her partner Ray Bower and other members of the Bower family. Their home is your home for the duration of your visit; and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Location
The farm’s rural outlook belies its convenient location – lying just 1 mile from J13 of the M6, off the A449 between Stafford and Penkridge, Lower Drayton Farm is the ideal base for exploring all that Staffordshire, neighbouring Shropshire, the West Midlands and the Potteries have to offer.
When it comes to entertainment, families need look no further than the farm itself for – a popular fun farm attraction operates during school holidays, with a brand new indoor and outdoor farm-themed play experience set to launch later in 2019.
The charming market town of Penkridge (1 mile distant) offers a host of dining out and takeaway options, several pubs, a Co-Op and Sainsbury’s Local plus markets on Wednesday and Saturday each week. The county town of Stafford (6 miles distant) offers all the usual High Street stores, a number of supermarkets, cinema and leisure centre.
Further afield, the thrills and spills of Alton Towers theme park; the peace and quiet of Cannock Chase, historic sites like Shugborough Hall, Stafford Castle, Boscabel Hall, Ironbridge, the Black Country Museum and shopping in Birmingham’s Bull Ring offer something for everyone.
